Kent M. Jeffers 1971 - 2006

O'FALLON, Mo. - Kent Michael Jeffers, 34, O'Fallon, Mo., died Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2006, at Barns Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Mo. He was born July 24, 1971, in Hershey, Pa., the son of Kenneth Jeffers and Deborah Barker Derendinger. He grew up in the Kansas City area. Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Deborah and Peter Derendinger, Merriam; his father and stepmother, Kenneth and Joyce Jeffers, O'Fallon, Mo.; a brother, Scot Jeffers, Burlington; and his paternal grandparents, Marvin and Mildred Jeffers, Neodesha. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Virginia Jerome Barker. The rosary will be recited at noon Thursday, March 2, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Chanute. Graveside service will follow at Neosho County Memorial Park Cemetery led by Fr. Thomas Scaletty. Memorials to American Cancer Society may be left with Penwell-Gabel Johnson Chapel, Chanute, in charge of arrangements. 02/28/2006; 1:10:42 PM
